IDR Medical is pleased to announce that Vangelis Papagrigoriou has joined our global team as a European Consultant. Vangelis has a BSc in Biochemistry (UMIST) and a PhD in Biophysics (University of Leicester). Having completed his studies he worked for 2 years at the University of Oxford where focused on the determination of human protein structures, offering key insight into the proteins’ function. He dedicated his work on proteins associated with common human diseases, including cancer and bleeding disorders. As an academic Vangelis has published 8 papers to peer-reviewed scientific journals, including two first author publications to Nature Structural biology and EMBO, two of the most high impact journals that focus on Structural Biology. His academic work has been presented at national and international conferences.
Prior to working for IDR Medical Vangelis worked as a consultant for Insight, a market research company dedicated to the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. During his time with Insight Vangelis gained significant experience managing and contributing to international consulting and market research engagements. Marrying market research with a deep understanding of biological systems, Vangelis lead projects focusing on the development of new products, involving KOL studies, and played a key role in evaluating the needs of patients and physicians for new treatments and exploring opportunities for new products.
At Insight, Vangelis expanded his focus areas to all stages of a product’s lifecycle, from concept evaluation and development to message testing, value proposition development. Vangelis has also had a good deal of experience in sales force effectiveness studies.
